Booking & Planning

From timelines to retainers—here’s how we keep things simple, clear, and beautifully organized.

Planning support, not pressure.

You’ll receive a client guide and gentle direction throughout your engagement—so you can feel prepared without feeling posed.

50% retainer Balance due 30 days prior
How far in advance should we book?
I recommend booking 6-12 months in advance, especially for peak wedding season (April-June and September-November). Peak dates fill up quickly, but I sometimes have availability closer to your wedding date.
What's included in the booking process?
After our consultation, you'll receive a detailed contract and client guide. A 50% retainer secures your date, with the balance due 30 days before your wedding. We'll stay in touch throughout your engagement to ensure everything goes smoothly.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes! After your initial 50% retainer, we can arrange a payment plan for the remaining balance. Just let us know what works best for your budget during our consultation.
What if we need to reschedule our wedding?
Life happens! If you need to reschedule due to circumstances beyond your control, we'll work with you to find a new date based on availability. Specific terms are outlined in your contract.
Documentary honesty, editorial polish.

I’ll guide you when it matters (light, composition, family flow) and step back when the moment is already perfect. The goal: images that feel like you—only elevated.

Photography Coverage

What you’ll receive, how I shoot, and how we ensure no meaningful detail is missed—even when the day moves fast.

How many photos will we receive?
You'll receive all the best images from your day—typically 75-150+ depending on your collection and coverage hours. I focus on quality over quantity, ensuring every image you receive is beautifully edited and worthy of your wedding album.
Do you shoot in RAW?
Yes, I shoot in RAW format for maximum editing flexibility and quality. I also incorporate film photography for select moments to create true heirloom pieces alongside the digital coverage.
Can we request specific shots?
Absolutely! I love hearing about special moments, family combinations, and details that are important to you. We'll discuss your must-have shots during our planning process.
Do you provide backup coverage?
Yes, I always have backup equipment and immediately backup all images. For larger weddings, Marcus joins as a second photographer to ensure comprehensive coverage from multiple angles.

Travel & Destination Weddings

How travel works, what’s included, and how we make the most of your location—without over-scheduling your day.

Do you travel for weddings?
I love destination weddings and adventure elopements! Travel within 100 miles of Charleston is included in adventure elopement packages. For other destinations, travel costs plus $200/day are added to your collection.
What's included in destination coverage?
Destination weddings receive the same comprehensive coverage as local weddings. I handle all travel arrangements and arrive with backup equipment. Multi-day celebrations can include rehearsal dinners and welcome parties.
Do you scout locations in advance?
For adventure elopements and unfamiliar destinations, I include location scouting to find the most beautiful spots for your photos. This ensures we make the most of your time and the natural beauty of your chosen location.

One more thing—your comfort matters.

If you’re nervous about being photographed, you’re in the right place. Most couples tell me they “aren’t photogenic.” My approach is designed for real people: gentle prompts, flattering light, and room to breathe—so the images feel natural and unmistakably you.
